Privacy policy

Effective 3 August 2026 · Last updated 3 August 2026

thumbfulness collects no data. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party code in the app. We do not run a server, and the app never sends anything to us — because there is no “us” for it to send anything to.

Who we are

thumbfulness is made by SAFİYE REKLAM MEDYA DANIŞMANLIK GIDA TURİZM VE TİCARET LİMİTED ŞİRKETİ, trading as W3 Digital, registered in Türkiye. For anything in this policy, write to support+thumbfulness@w3-digital.com, or by post to Okçu Musa Caddesi, Savcıbey Çıkmazı No: 4, Beyoğlu / İstanbul, Türkiye.

Where data-protection law calls someone the controller — the party that decides why and how personal data is used — that is us. As set out below, we do not hold any personal data about you.

What the app collects

Nothing. Specifically, thumbfulness has:

Its App Store privacy label reads Data Not Collected, and that is a literal description rather than a best effort. Nothing the app does needs a network, apart from the App Store sheet if you ever choose to leave a tip.

What stays on your device

Using the app creates some information, and all of it lives on your device: your settings, and a record of each sitting you save — when it started, which mode it was, how long each lap lasted, and any title or note you added. You can remove all of it by deleting the app.

Two small flags are kept alongside your settings, mentioned here in the interest of saying everything rather than because they are interesting: whether you have seen the tutorial, and whether you have ever left a tip. Both are single true/false values on the device, they carry no identifier and no date, and the second one changes a single sentence of wording on the tip screen and nothing else at all.

iCloud sync

If you are signed into iCloud, your saved sittings sync between your own devices through Apple’s CloudKit, into the private database of your own Apple Account. That storage belongs to you, not to us: we cannot read it, list it, or ask Apple for it. Apple’s handling of it is covered by Apple’s privacy policy.

Your settings are deliberately not synced — they describe this phone and this screen, so each device keeps its own.

To stop syncing, turn iCloud off for thumbfulness in iOS Settings. The app keeps working exactly as before; it simply stops mirroring, and every sitting already on the device stays there.

Tips

thumbfulness is free and sells nothing. The one thing money can do in it is a tip, which buys nothing at all — no feature, no limit lifted, no content. Tips are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store: we never see your payment details, and we cannot connect a tip to a person. What we receive from Apple is aggregate sales reporting — how many of each amount in which country — with no personal data in it.

Crash and diagnostic reports

If you have turned on Share with App Developers in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements, Apple may give us crash and performance reports about the app. Apple aggregates these; they contain no information that identifies you, and we do not combine them with anything else. Turning that setting off stops them.

Children

thumbfulness is suitable for all ages. Because it collects nothing from anyone, it collects nothing from children either.

Your rights

Data-protection laws — the GDPR in Europe, KVKK in Türkiye, and their equivalents elsewhere — give you rights to access, correct, delete, and port your personal data, and to complain to a supervisory authority. We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to hand over, correct, or erase: the information the app creates is on your device and in your own iCloud, under your control at all times.

If you believe we hold something about you anyway, write to support+thumbfulness@w3-digital.com and we will answer within 30 days.

Deleting everything

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and anything material will be called out in the app’s release notes. We keep no mailing list to notify, by design.
